Grand Theft Auto V: In Europe, It Still Sells Ridiculously Well!

Rockstar‘s game is still on the best-selling charts despite being several years old…

GamesIndustry reports that a market research company, GfK, based on fifteen countries’ (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the United Kingdom) physical game sales, Grand Theft Auto V was the third best-selling game!

With this result, the game managed to defeat such 2017 releases as Destiny 2, Star Wars: Battlefront II, or Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Who finished ahead of Rockstar, then? It’s FIFA 18 and Call of Duty: WWII…

So the game, which gets constant updates in GTA Online (which ended another record year), proves that the Games-as-a-Service model can be fruitful after all.
