Sometimes we get bored with our job, too… but its result isn’t seen by potentially millions of television viewers!
TVP Info is a Polish news channel owned by the government. It had a call-in program, where possibly the producer gets bored by the conversation (about abortion, no less…), and thus, he decided to play a game. It’s fine, but the problem is that it was seen in the background displays!
The situation is spicier, if we consider that the game played for minutes was Wolfenstein 3D, which has swastikas, and it’s not a lucky sight, especially on a Polish state television channel… and in no time, the viewers caught on to the game in the background, and they tweeted about it, which showed up in the program, too.
On Reddit, the conversation got a bit of translation: one of the two hosts – the gentleman, called Rafał A. Ziemkiewicz (who is a right-wing politician himself), asked the „person behind the glass wall” to stop playing, or they might end up in The New York Times. The second video below shows the entire program, and it shows that the gaming antics are far from over: at 22:24, Rambo: First Blood Part 2’s C64 version is played, and at 25:16, International Karate makes an appearance.
At least this person had fun with older games…
