Are Batman: Arkham’s Developers Making A Superman Game?

Rocksteady would stay in the same (DC) universe with it…

The information below showed up on an unusual place, namely 4chan, so take it all with a grain of salt about Rocksteady‘s next, still unannounced game. We hear from Rocksteady less often than even Deus Ex!

It seems that they are making a Superman game with Unreal Engine 4, and its area of Metropolis would be three times bigger than Batman: Arkham Knight’s Gotham. We can’t play as Clark Kent in it (unlike in Spider-Man by Insomniac, where we can play as Peter Parker!), and our abilities would be limited, similarly to Superman: The Animated Series.

The game would be set in the Arkham universe, which is why there would also be a lot of easter eggs about Superman‘s lore, as well as events of the Batman: Arkham games and the main antagonist would be Brainiac. The environments would be partially destructible, similarly to Arkham Knight (you can’t destroy entire buildings in that), and the combat system would be similar to Dragon Ball FighterZ with its inclusion of flying: you can hit an enemy, fly towards him, hit him again, repeat.

Apparently, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Montreal have teamed up to work on a multiplayer game, which is why Rocksteady was looking to hire people in multiplayer subjects. This title would be a Justice League project, and it’d be the focus after Superman is complete. The announcement would come a few weeks before E3, where they’d show more of the kryptonite hater.

Is it too good to be true…?

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
