Insomniac Games‘ solution to the issue is also… awkward.

During a Twitch stream, the developers confirmed that Spider-Man’s Collector’s Edition would contain a big action figure as well. We will see this person in the game towards the end of the story. However, the studio doesn’t want to reveal who it is because it’d be a significant spoiler.

„Someone asked if we’re gonna show the full collector’s edition, and the answer is no. It’s a spoiler, and it’ll even say on the box: ‘Don’t look at this till you’ve played far enough in the game,” the studio said. The solution? Don’t open the box.

We have a question, though: how on Earth is someone supposed to get the game from the box without seeing the figure? Will the figure be in a separate box to avoid the sight? Or will we have to blindly just open the box and find the game?

Spider-Man will launch on September 7 as a PlayStation 4-exclusive.
