A new Xbox is going to be revealed at Gamescom?

Although Microsoft won’t hold a full conference at Gamescom 2018, it doesn’t mean that they won’t show us anything new.

Microsoft’s own show weekly, Inside Xbox will be at Gamescom 2018 and it will be streamed from there, according to Larry „Major Nelson” Hyrb, and he says that they are going to reveal new Xbox bundles and accessories.

Here’s what Major Nelson said on his blog:

„This year at Gamescom, we will be hosting a special episode of Inside Xbox, broadcast live from our Xbox booth in the Koelnmesse. Tune in on Tuesday, August 21, at 4:30 p.m. CEST (7:30 a.m. PDT) for lots of news, new Xbox One bundles and accessories, and features on upcoming titles that we can’t wait to tell you more about and perhaps even a few surprises!”

What’s interesting is that the blog post was recently changed because in the morning it also said that an all-new Xbox hardware is going to be revealed, but this isn’t anywhere in the post now. This makes us wonder, what that new hardware might be?

Well, it very might well be a new version of Xbox One X, possible a Slim version. It would make sense. Although I’m not sure if it would really classify as a brand new hardware. But it might also be the next Xbox that is currently codenamed Scarlett. It was basically already announced anyway at E3 2018 and Microsoft is doing a more honest and straightforward marketing strategy nowadays, so maybe we’ll learn some new info about the next Xbox in the following month.

As for the accessories: it’s more than likely that a new Xbox One Elite controller will be announced – the one that was leaked early this year.

Anyway, we won’t have to wait long to find out what Microsoft is planning for Gamescom, because it will be held in Cologne, Germany between August 21st and 25th.
