There will be a new game of Evil Dead according to the protagonist of the series

Bruce Campbell affirms that, once again, he will play the character of Ash.

Although the actor Bruce Campbell said months ago that he would stop playing the good of Ash Williams in the Evil Dead saga after more than 30 years dedicated to the character, fans of this saga born at the hands of Sam Raimi seem to still have a chance to see the actor … this time in a video game! Without concrete details about this production, the actor has limited himself to ensuring that there is a “very immersive” game in production.

Cancelled the series Ash vs Evil Dead in its third season, the actor said at the time that he still had some commitments to fulfil before finally closing his cycle with the saga. Asked about it, Bruce Campbell has said merely that “it is going to be a video game, something very immersive, and in that project, I will be Ash because I would not like to see another person overacting the character”.

This would not be the first time that the Evil Dead saga makes the leap into the world of video games, because throughout these decades have been released several titles based on the franchise. This is the complete list of Evil Dead games made so far:

The Evil Dead (1984) for Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum

Evil Dead: Hail to the King (2000) for PlayStation, Dreamcast, and PC

Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick (2003) for PlayStation 2 and Xbox

Evil Dead: Regeneration (2005) for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC

Army of Darkness: Defense (2011) for iOS and Android

Evil Dead: The Game (2011) for iOS

With the Gamescom 2018 just around the corner, who knows, their managers could take advantage of the passage through the most important video game in Europe to officially present this video game of Evil Dead. In the meantime, check out some iconic scenes from the movie franchise.
