There Will Be No Microtransactions In The Command & Conquer Remasters

Jim Vessella, a producer at Electronic Arts, revealed more details on Reddit about the publisher’s plans.

Previously, Vessella wrote the following: „Following the reveal of [Command & Conquer:] Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the community also wants to see the franchise return to PC. And as a fan of C&C for over 20 years, I couldn’t agree more. With that in mind, we’ve been exploring some exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games, and already have the ball rolling on our first effort to celebrate the upcoming 25th Year Anniversary.” So, Electronic Arts, who saw how the fans had destroyed the mobile game Rivals (look at the like/dislike ratio on YouTube), the obvious realisation followed: it’s a terrible idea to make a fool of the veteran fans of the series.

Since then, Vessella added that they „will not be adding any microtransactions to a C&C Remaster.” He also asked the following questions: „Would you want to see updated balancing or a more robust ui? For example, would you want to see the C&C3 style tabs and unit selection sidebar in one of the classic games? Should the balance stay the same as the classic versions, or should we rebalance it to make them more appropriate?”

So Electronic Arts is up to something, which might finally not have the same old seen in their other games, such as the live services, DLC, season passes, or microtransactions… however, Electronic Arts hasn’t announced the remastering yet!
