Will Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince Be Able To Restore The Franchise’s Reputation?

Trine 3 was a weak game (and that’s kindly put, especially if we compare it to the first two Trine titles!), so the fourth game already has pressure on it at its announcement.

Modus Games announced that Frozenbyte is already working on Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince after the somewhat flopping third Trine game which was a 3D title. They are bold, and that’s not a joke: „Trine 4 is going to be the best in the series. We have rekindled our love for the franchise, heard and seen the fan feedback, and our hearts are set on exceeding those expectations. Trine is back!” This quote is from Frozenbyte‘s CEO, Lauri Hyvarinen…

They also had the balls to only say that Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with a 2019 release window. They didn’t even send a single screenshot or a teaser, only a website, which says „official announcement coming soon!”

It’s not promising yet…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
