Kingdom Hearts News: A Trailer For III’s Opening Movie And A Release Date For The VR Experience! [VIDEO]

Square Enix has doubled down.

We received a trailer from Kingdom Hearts III‘s opening movie. (We don’t understand this logic either, but Square Enix might have wanted to avoid spoilers.) The song heard is Face My Fears, created by Hikaru Utada and Skrillex. You can find the Japanese version after the English one. Kingdom Hearts III‘s Japanese launch will be on January 25, followed by the Western release on January 29 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Regarding Kingdom Hearts, we also knew that it would get a PlayStation VR experience. The publisher announced that it would be available from December 25, and it would be free, too! Kingdom Hearts VR Experience will be a virtual reality music video, recapping the story of the franchise, taking a few stages from the main story, too. On January 18, an update will bring more stages (possibly timed as such to avoid further spoilers).

Let’s hope Kingdom Hearts VR Experience will not be exclusive to Japan.
