Is Respawn Already Developing Titanfall 3?

Although the developers will have a new game next Autumn (around November?) called Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, which hasn’t been shown to the public yet, they are planning something else, too…

Back in October, Andrew Wilson, the CEO of Electronic Arts, has said that Respawn is working on two games. One of them was named a paragraph ago, but the other title is likely going to be Titanfall 3. Respawn has listed several job openings, and all of them are tied to the Titanfall franchise.

It’s unlikely that Respawn is hiring for Titanfall 2 – the developers haven’t expanded that game in a year, which is respectable due to it coming out in the autumn of 2016 -, so their newest job listing, dated December 15 for a senior technical animator on the Titanfall series, is for a new game, which can also be said about the oldest job listing from April, which is still active.

Although they don’t name the project as Titanfall 3, let’s not forget that Vince Zampella, the CEO of Respawn, has said they were „heavily invested” in Titanfall since mid-2017. Therefore, a new instalment is quite likely, but let’s hope it won’t be released near an EA blockbuster shooter game like how Titanfall 2 was shadowed behind Battlefield 1…
