Is Death Stranding Launching In 2019?

Hideo Kojima and the year of the Whale. What does it mean?

The last 2018 issue of Famitsu includes a short message from Hideo Kojima regarding Death Stranding, which we will quote: „Is 2019 the year of the Whale? Please look forward to Death Stranding!” The whale can be related to Kojima Productions in several ways.

The first, reveal trailer of Death Stranding included multiple creatures stranded on the shore, and the logo video of Kojima Productions also has one of them on the moon. Previously, before Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s proper announcement, a fake studio, Moby Dick Studios was „developing” the game (which was a lie if you forgot it). We can add something else to this list, though, which seems to fit Kojima’s obsession with the whales – The Telegraph reports that in 2019, Japan is officially planning to restart hunting whales!

Death Stranding might launch in 2019 on PlayStation 4. Maybe it won’t.
