Nioh 2 Prepares For A Closed Alpha; Multiple Hours Of Gameplay Leaked! [VIDEO]

Yep, Nioh‘s sequel, which seemingly continues the Japanese Souls style, got a lot of gameplay leaked BEFORE the closed alpha even started – Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo can shake their heads for a good reason…

„Some PlayStation 4 users are invited to take part in the Nioh 2 closed alpha to help gather feedback for the development. To ensure the team can manage the feedback, there are no plans to expand the alpha at the moment, but please keep an eye on our channels for more info in the future,” Team Ninja, the devs of the Nioh games, said in a tweet. The closed alpha will run from May 24 to June 2, so the Japanese slice-n-dice will start tomorrow. There’s a trailer as well, but our story isn’t ending here just yet…

And now, we’re going to say SPOILERS. Sure, the full game isn’t seen in the videos below (that’s mission impossible: the game is still in development, therefore, Nioh 2 isn’t done yet…), but you can see a lot in the Twitch recording, provided by cerealkillerzat, of this hack’n’slash game, which will also include a character creator. (You can check that out as well in the video, which is over three hours (!!!) long.) There’s also a Russian YouTube video, too. With the first video, we have to point out that it’s titled a playthrough, meaning the entire alpha might be present in that recording – in case you got invited for the closed alpha, make sure to avoid watching these videos.

At least we learned that – in the West, at least – Sony Interactive Entertainment will be the publisher of Nioh 2. The PlayStation 4-exclusive has no release date yet, but if it follows the first game’s scenario (where Nioh launched a little less than a year after the alpha), Nioh 2 might be available in the Spring of 2020.
