Dead Island 2 is still alive and developing, but without short-term plans

It has reappeared in a recent THQ Nordic presentation. Digital Sumo is doing it.

As the GameRadar portal remembers, which has been the one that has discovered the trail of the absent game of zombies, will soon be the fifth anniversary of the presentation of Dead Island 2 at E3 in 2014. The video game has gone through a tortuous development, changing of hands and restarting the project until falling into the hands of Sumo Digital. Is the video game still alive? Thanks to a recent financial presentation from THQ Nordic we know that it is.

The publisher, who has a stake in Deep Silver’s business operations, yesterday showed the logo of the game on a slide presented by its CEO, Lars Wingefors , in which he said that he was working on the game and that it was worthwhile for his followers were “attentive” to what may come from the game in the future. As it could be seen in the presentation, the logo of the software has changed, a positive sign that confirms that, at least, something has been touched on the project.

It is not the first time that the publisher insists on the survival of Dead Island 2. The last time was the official Twitter account of the franchise that announced that the software was still alive and in development. The game is planned for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Its current creators are Sumo Digital, who has worked on recent works such as Crackdown 3 or Team Sonic Racing.
