A Fan Created The Nintendo GameCube Mini! [VIDEO]

And she didn’t even use a trick by putting a Raspberry Pi into the frame of the small GameCube – she used a far more creative solution that we have to mention!

A YouTuber by the name of Madmorda created something that might be eventually officially made (although at the moment, we are waiting for the Nintendo 64 Mini’s announcement… which is possible at this point): she made a small Nintendo GameCube! She did not use any minicomputer or a Raspberry Pi, but instead, she found a much more creative solution – she took a Nintendo Wii motherboard, which was shrunk to the size of a Nintendo Game Boy Color’s cartridge (which itself isn’t that big – you can see the mini and the original console side by side in the video, which even has it as the thumbnail).

Via the controller ports, you can use headphones, there’s a converter for the controllers, and the memory card slots have been turned into two USB slots. There are a working Power button and a light, too. And even you can create it for yourself if you follow the guide seen on the BitBuilt forums. The idea is pure genius.

Oh, and it’s not some stupid fake news: the video shows Super Mario Sunshine running on the mini GameCube, without any issues! Madmorda has thus given a challenge to Nintendo, who didn’t have problems with nor the NES Classic and neither the SNES Classic – both mini consoles had the games run perfectly on them. (The same can’t be said about Sony’s PlayStation Classic – in fact, we wrote about a modded SNES mini running Ridge Racer Type 4 better than the PS Classic, which is nothing short of pathetic.)

Let’s say the obligatory chorus at the end we tend to say in similar subjects: the human creativity knows no boundaries!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
