CI Games can continue sniping shortly with Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts.
As Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 wasn’t that good (it had glitches, extremely long loading times and the like…), so the company, which was formerly known as City Interactive, decided to go back to the form with Contracts that made the Sniper series known – stealth, tactical thinking, and the drone usage will all be hopefully better than in Ghost Warrior 3. The Dynamic Reticule System returns, and regardless of your skill level, the ballistics and the atmospheric conditions will all need you to aim differently. There will be multiple types of bullets, and we can also use augmented reality and binoculars aside from the drones.
Location-wise, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is set in Siberia in five different regions, where – nomen est omen – you have to complete missions. You’ll have a total of 25 missions, but in the more open, sandbox-like areas, you get to do side missions, too, so there will be a slightly more open world like in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3.
We have yet to see what CI Games can do because – as we wrote about it before – they decided to take away the development from an American studio on Lords of the Fallen 2 for allegedly not being good enough for the task. And seeing CI Games’ history, we can have our fair share of doubts, regardless of which game we’re talking about. Maybe the Poles can make us eat the humble pie.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is out on November 22 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Coming out two weeks after Death Stranding and Need For Speed: Heat, and one week after Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, isn’t lucky. We might see a delay to 2020 for the usual quality reasons.
