The Last Of Us Part II: Another Sign At The PC Port? [VIDEO]

Naughty Dog‘s game, The Last Of Us Part II might not be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 (and potentially the PlayStation 5…).

Instant Gaming’s website is suspicious – we recall them doing something with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare last year. Whatever happened does not matter – the site listed The Last of Us Part II. However, they did it for Steam, and not for the PlayStation Network (this site resells digital keys for multiple services, including the PlayStation Network). They didn’t go into details, so we have no clue about the system requirements, nor the release date – for the latter, they simply wrote „2020.” However, we recently wrote about how Naughty Dog is looking for someone with experience in recent PC GPU architectures, so there might be something happening. Just don’t announce the PC port too early (Death Stranding did the announcement before the PlayStation 4 version launched).

If we look at The Last of Us Part II‘s website, then we see that Naughty Dog’s game got a Mature (M/17+) rating from the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board). It’s new: until now, no Naughty Dog game has ever received such a rating. The reasoning? Nudity and sexual content. Keep in mind that the first The Last of Us only had sexual themes. There is a difference! „Sexual Content – Non-explicit depictions of sexual behaviour, possibly including partial nudity. Sexual Themes – References to sex or sexuality,” quoting the ESRB. The Last of Us Part II will feature nudity and sexual content. We’ll see what it means.

Last but not least, Media Molecule’s new game (or more like a game-creating game…), Dreams (which will be available in retail from February 14) was used to make a PS1 demake of The Last of Us Part II. Here’s how Naughty Dog’s game would have looked two decades ago on the ageing grey PlayStation.

The Last of Us Part II launches on May 29, exclusively on PlayStation 4. (Until they announce the PC port…)
