Command & Conquer Remastered Collection: Strategy To Start The Summer With [VIDEO]

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, and three expansions (Covert Ops, Counterstrike, The Aftermath) – all of this will be part of the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection.

Electronic Arts announced that the collection will be on Steam (as the publisher is now in cahoots with Valve) and Origin, and the price will be a solid twenty dollars. If you have an Origin Access Premier subscription, you can also get it that way. The collection was handled by Petroglyph, and since most of the team was previously working at Westwood Studios, the remastering process was somewhat staying in-house.

„Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is being created alongside the Command & Conquer community, where the project was publicly revealed in October 2018 to gather community insight before development began. An active Community Council has been involved since early pre-production with 24/7 access to the development team. The title features rebuilt graphics and textures with support up to 4K resolution, along with an over seven-hour soundtrack remastered by the renowned original composer Frank Klepacki. The community has helped shape the enhancements of the game through highly requested features like revamped UI, updated controls and a Map Editor for fans to showcase their creations. Multiplayer has been rebuilt from the ground up to support a modern online experience with custom games, one-versus-one quick match, Elo-based matchmaking, leaderboards, replays, and much more,” Electronic Arts says.

The collection will also get two limited editions via Limited Run Games. The Special Edition will cost 60 dollars, and it will contain the collection with a Steam code, a Tiberium Crystal USB with the remastered original soundtrack (119 tracks with over seven hours of music; it also includes the album “Frank Klepacki & the Tiberian Sons: Celebrating 25 Years of Command & Conquer“), a reversible poster, four faction enamel pins, the tech tree prints (one for each faction – good for beginners to hang above the monitor), and a faction sticker sheet.

There will also be a 150-dollar Anniversary Edition. It will contain everything mentioned above, all in a beautiful foil and embossed rigid box, plus an art book (100-plus pages), faction patches, a reversible beanie, a Metal Mammoth tank replica, and painted PVC light and sound tesla coil and obelisk replicas.

Command & Conquer Remastered Collection launches on June 5 on Steam and Origin.
