PlayStation Plus: These Are The May Games [VIDEO]

Sony has published the – unfortunately short – list of two games that will be available for free for those who pay up to play online multiplayer on PlayStation 4.

Let’s start by saying that it’s not the two games that we mentioned on Monday as a rumour. It seemed that once again, the two games (namely Dying Light and Dark Souls Remastered) have leaked out, but instead, the PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting different titles. Let’s see what these are – it might be shocking. Take that as a forewarning.

The PlayStation Blog revealed that the first game is going to be Paradox Interactive’s Cities: Skylines. It’s a god simulator (well… technically it is that, but it’s not as unrealistic), where you get to build a city out of nowhere, and it’s up to you whether it’s going to be a successful metropolis or just a small town with virtually no population. The other game is Giants Software’s Farming Simulator 19, which allows you to simulate the life of a farmer with all its pluses and negatives. (Also, driving a tractor can be fun.)

That’s it. No PlayStation VR game, no PlayLink bonus, nothing else. It might be the weakest PlayStation Plus month so far. Sure, it was expected that we’re going to get a weaker duo than in April (these games are still available until May 4 – they are Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and Codemasters’ DiRT Rally 2.0), but we did not expect such a drop in quality! And it’s just at a time when more people stayed at home due to the coronavirus, resulting in more players than ever. What a missed opportunity.

The only way is up from here, but Sony might doubt us with the June games…
