Naughty Dog Seeks Staff To Work On A PS5 Video Game

A job offer indicates that The Last of Us 2 developer Naughty Dog is planning new projects for the PS5.

After the tremendous success of The Last of Us Part II, many wonder what the next move of Naughty Dog will be. Uncharted’s developers have marked a milestone with their latest work, which was the most downloaded PlayStation 4 video game during the month of June.

Now, new job offers suggest that the studio is already planning its next project, and that this would be no less than for the new generation of Sony consoles, PlayStation 5. The first position requested is from Tools Programmer , the person who works with tools that help other developers to improve their work, this time to work in the “new generation graphics” section.

They’re also looking for an environment and level developer for a single-player video game, and a “talented animator” to help them “create a compelling video game for future projects.”

“The job may include helping to shape the melee system and / or bringing the various enemy archetypes and supporting cast to life,” says the entertainer job offer.

Neil Druckmann , director of The Last of Us franchise and vice president of Naughty Dog, recently spoke about the future of the studio. As he said The Last of Us Part III might be an option, but there is also the option of developing an original video game. According to Druckmann, “in the end, the best idea wins.”

Either way, the team is going to take a little breather before heading back into the fray with more action, but it looks like they’ve started to pull the strings to shape that new single-player video game we’ll see on PlayStaion 5.

The Last of Us 2 is now playable on PlayStation 4 and very much seems to repeat not only the success of the first game, but also its stylish generational closing role.
