The Microsoft Store Filters The Red Door: the Next Call of Duty (2020)

The name of next Call of Duty (2020): The Red Door first appeared in a June leak from the PlayStation Store.

The Microsoft Store has become a fairly reliable source of information this summer, to the regret of publishers. And its leak list gets a new name today: The Red Door. This morning, the digital platform has added the list of a new Activision game with that name that, although it does not indicate anything special, is the same code name related to the Call of Duty of 2020 in another leak of June.

To put you in the background, last June, some data miners found in the PlayStation Store database (via Charlie Intel ) a title known as The Red Door in code, which contained inside an image with the logo of a new ” Call of Duty Black Ops “, dry, as a possible instalment of the saga for 2020. A month later, and at the time of writing the news, the Microsoft page shows a product with the same code name and registered in the name of Activision.

To make matters worse, the store listing classifies it as a shooter, along with an option to redeem an access code, which suggests that it would be a closed alpha or beta, although its weight of 81 GB indicates otherwise. The description of The Red Door in Microsoft Store is the following, at the time of writing this news: “There is more than one truth. If you go looking for answers, be prepared to question everything, and assume that nothing will ever be as before. Red Gate awaits you, do you dare to go through it? ”

In recent months, the Microsoft store has leaked projects like the Kingdoms of Amalur remaster or the new Star Wars Squadrons. Two games that, coincidentally, chose to appear officially the day after the leak as a preventive measure. We will see if Activision does the same with its game in the next few hours and if it is truly the new Call of Duty of 2020 as a restart of the Black Ops saga. Until then, we leave you with the analysis of Call of Duty Modern Warfare, as well as the analysis of Warzone.
