Marvel’s Spider-Man: Insomniac Games Came To Its Senses

Sony Interactive Entertainment-owned Insomniac Games has had a customer-friendly announcement to relax the somewhat angered players (even though they have a good reason to be angry).

Insomniac Games – whose next title, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch in just a couple of days on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 with a ton of accessibility features we discussed the other day – announced on Twitter: „We have heard you – in an upcoming update for Marvel’s Spider-Man [on PlayStation 4], we will add the ability to export your save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. This update will also add the three new suits from Remastered to the PS4 game. We expect to bring you this update around Thanksgiving.”

Until now, there were no options to bring over the PlayStation 4 original save file from the 2018 game to the PlayStation 5 remastered version (even if you play the PS4 version of the game on a PS5 via backwards compatibility), but now, Insomniac Games has realized that it wasn’t a good idea, to begin with. Better late than never. The trophies will be separate, though!

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered will be available for purchase for those who acquire the standard PlayStation 5 edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales via the game’s menu (as the PS4 version doesn’t get a remaster, we don’t need to explain why…), as this is Sony’s way to make us spend more money on the games (and they wanted to charge more than seventy dollars for them…).

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch on November 12 or November 19 (depending on the region) on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered will also arrive the same day on PlayStation 5, which is now a mere few days away from customers who got lucky with their pre-orders.
