[CES 2021] Several PlayStation 5 Games Received A Launch Window!

The sizzle video that Sony has produced for this year’s CES has revealed when Sony’s new console might get a few of its upcoming games.

Sony Corporation has also partaken in the Consumer Electronics Show 2021 Digital Press Event, and here, they mentioned a few – until now unannounced – release windows for a few of the games. Here’s a list of all of them, we’ll mention the rest after

  •     Hitman III – January 2021
  •     Returnal – March 19, 2021
  •     Kena: Bridge of Spirits – March 2021
  •     Solar Ash – June 2021
  •     Little Devil Inside – July 2021
  •     Ghostwire: Tokyo – October 2021
  •     Stray – October 2021
  •     Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – 2021
  •     Horizon Forbidden West – 2021
  •     Project Athia – January 2022
  •     Pragmata – 2023 (previously 2022)

Hitman III is confirmed to arrive on January 20 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Returnal’s launch day was also previously confirmed. Kena: Bridge of Spirits’ release window is much closer than we thought, and this can also apply to Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire: Tokyo, which will arrive on the PlayStation 5 despite Microsoft acquiring Zenimax (the game was announced for PS5 before the acquisition, so it will happen, period).

Project Athia’s January 2022 window is a big surprise by Square Enix, and Pragmata by Capcom has been silently pushed back by a year. Remember that Horizon Forbidden West is confirmed to be a cross-gen title, so it will arrive on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Insomniac Games’ Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, however, is PlayStation 5-only.

You can see the end slide that features this information below. Sony has silently revealed new details in such an obscure manner. We have yet to see if these launch windows can be kept, though. We have our doubts about that. We will eat the humble pie if we are proven wrong, though. Where’s Gran Turismo 7 and God of War: Ragnarok…?!
