PlayStation Plus: What Games Can We Expect In July?

Despite the heatwave (which can cause many negative effects, such as a lack of sleep or dehydration…), Sony continues to provide different games for those who open their wallets so that „the blue company” allows them to play all their PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games online.

One of the games has effectively been announced a month ago, because when Sony confirmed the June games, Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, the fifteen-year-old game’s reimagined version on the Dragon Engine (Yakuza!) was mentioned to be available for the PlayStation Plus subscribers in July, too.

Previously, we also mentioned that A Plague Tale: Innocence‘s PlayStation 5, Xbox Series version was announced to launch at a highly suspicious date, namely the first Tuesday of June. Therefore, it is likely to be part of the July games. But will we get three PlayStation 4 games in July, or will Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown hog one of two slots? Let’s find out.

Well, in July, the PlayStation 4 users receive access to Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII and WWE 2K Battlegrounds, while those who own a PlayStation 5 can indeed acquire the PS5 upgraded version of A Plague Tale: Innocence. Regarding the latter, our hunch was thus correct.

The three games previously mentioned will be available from the PlayStation Store on July 6 until August 2. Don’t forget that the two games that are about to leave from the June line-up can still be accessed until July 5. They are the following: Operation: Tango (PlayStation 5 version only), and Star Wars: Squadrons (PlayStation 4).

So four games will be available in July. And Sony pulled in a bigger title by Activision Blizzard, although it’s not the newest Call of Duty. Still, it can be considered as a reasonable line-up for the month. Maybe.
