AI: real-life Kratos isn’t as sharp – but much scarier!

TECH NEWS – Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making the great protagonists of the video game world even more human and in spectacular fashion!

The various filters, applications, and other software developed in recent years continue to leave us with some of the strangest, if not most disturbing, creations when used to recognise recognisable faces in the video game industry. The latest is related to StyleCLIP, an artificial intelligence used to manipulate images with various commands and make Kratos more “human”.

It has caused the internet to explode, with everyone scrambling to share their montages. As well as Ghost of Sparta, other famous figures in the industry include iconic protagonists such as Trevor from GTA V, Lady Dimitrescu, Nathan Drake, Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us. Of course, all of these are based on the fact that their designers are committed to realism, so the results are perhaps less surprising than if you choose more eccentric modelling like Street Fighter fighters.

From these gems, we’ve selected a few tweets that caught our attention. Check them out for yourself!

The spirit of Sparta will soon be seen in the video game God of War: Ragnarok for PS5 and PS4, which, barring delays, will arrive in 2022.
