Kate Beckinsale is currently in Las Vegas to film Prisoner’s Daughter, but had to be taken to hospital on Friday morning due to a back problem.

 

Actress Kate Beckinsale is recovering in a Las Vegas hospital after being rushed there on Friday morning. The star is currently in Nevada filming her new movie Prisoner’s Daughter and was reportedly taken to hospital by ambulance after “wrecking her back”. She spent several hours in the emergency room, but at the moment, there is no word on her condition or precisely what treatment she underwent. The news was initially reported by TMZ, who said that the actress was at the MGM Grand The Signature when the incident occurred, suggesting that the injury did not happen during filming.

This is not the first time the Underworld star has been hospitalized recently. In 2019, she underwent surgery for a ruptured cyst. As soon as she was able, Beckinsale took to social media to update her followers on her condition, and she’ll likely do the same this time around once she’s well enough.

 

 

“Turns out a ruptured ovarian cyst hurts a lot, crying from morphine,” she wrote at the time and included pictures of her hospital room. “I am so grateful to everyone who took care of me. Instagram is largely so that I can have my honest narrative and not always have to be lying in wait with fictional stories, and I’d rather tell what happened than endure speculation, which is why I decided to share. I agree it’s not a normal impulse, but neither is it normal to be photographed in vulnerable situations by people you don’t know.” – Kate wrote about her situation.

A few days ago, Beckinsale made the news when she shared a picture on her Instagram account of herself in Las Vegas wearing a sheer, lacey Boho style dress and fishnet tights. Some of her fans even spread the word that she might be planning a wedding in Sin City again, but that was probably not in the plans. Like many others involved in the film industry over the past year, the actress has had to undergo constant COVID tests to work on her new film, which also stars Brian Cox and Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson.

Back in July, it was reported that Beckinsale had reunited with his daughter Lily Sheen after two years away from seeing her due to Covid restrictions. The 47-year-old spoke on Live With Kelly and Ryan about how difficult it was to not see her daughter for so long due to filming in Canada.

 

 

“I haven’t seen my daughter in two years because of all sorts of things. Also, I went to Canada for work, and she couldn’t visit me. Not to see your child for two years is the most unthinkable thought for me,” – the actress candidly confessed about the difficulties.

As the filming of Prisoner’s Daughter is only a week old, her injury will significantly impact the filming, but as the extent of her damage is unknown, it is not known how long the delay will be. Hopefully, she will recover quickly and be back to work soon. As for the next Underworld film, that is still a long way off. Just hang on, Kate!
