Well Creative Assembly was quick to release the promised trailer for Total War: Warhammer III’s brand new faction – Grand Cathay.

After the delay which was announced a couple of days ago by Creative Assembly to 2022, Warhammer fans were promised a faction reveal for non-other than Grand Cathay.

An epic trailer just dropped showing the forces of Grand Cathay face against the forces of Chaos, where giant war machines in the sky clash, and Ancient magic is used to awaken stone giants to fight against the Chaos army.

One of the unique things about Total War: Warhammer is the factions that are based on the table top have fleshed out rule books, and army rosters. For Grand Cathay though, this is their first in-universe appearance besides just small mentions of it in other lore books.

GamesWorkshop is currently re-doing some of the Old World tabletop content, to fit the new units, and details into canon, as all of this was created in partnership with Creative Assembly.

It is a shame that the game got delayed ( you can read about the full press release about the delay here!), but at least fans will not be without news and details until 2022.

Total War: Warhammer III will be out in 2022 on PC.
