Super Mario Bros. Animated Film Releases Holiday 2022

MOVIE NEWS – Super Mario Bros, the animated movie, is releasing on Holiday 2022. It is full of stars as the voice actors for the main characters, although some are questionable.

Alright, so here we go; Mario will be voiced by Chris Pratt – aka Guardians of Galaxy and Jurassic Park fame. Luigi will be voiced by none other than the star of one of the longest-running tv comedy shows – It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia – Charlie Day. Anya Taylor-Joy will voice Princess Peach, who had her most significant breakthrough in the Netflix drama The Queen’s Gambit. Finally, Bowser will be voiced by Jack Black.

The movie will also include Toad, who is voiced by Keegan-Michael Key, and even the Donkey Kong family. Seth Rogen will voice Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen will voice Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson will voice Kamen, and finally, Spike will be voiced by Sebastian Maniscalco.

Chris Meledandri of Illumination will produce the Mario animated film, and Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo, directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (both worked together on the Teen Titans GO! Movie), and Matthew Fogel will write the screenplay who previously wrote The Lego Movie Part 2.

Shigeru Miyamoto also made a press statement after the announcement: We are collaborating with Chris and his experienced team to not just create a character licensed film, but a new piece of entertainment which brings Super Mario Bros. to life on the screen and allows everyone to enjoy whether or not they know about the game. The production so far is constructive and going very well, and both parties are learning a lot from each other. We humbly ask that fans wait just a little longer for the premiere, and we hope they look forward to seeing the unique characters from Super Mario Bros. on the big screen.”

Hopefully, we shall see a trailer or some pictures soon and an official name for this Mario movie that is coming out sometime on Holiday 2022.
