GTA Trilogy – The Grand Theft Auto Definitive Edition is Now Official! [VIDEO]

The Grand Theft Auto Definitive Edition will arrive this year on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. After weeks of leaks, Rockstar finally confirms a compilation with graphical and gameplay improvements.

Rockstar Games has just confirmed an open secret: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is a reality and is coming quite soon. The developer has published this on its website and its official Twitter account. It has shown a short video in which the covers of the three PS2 and Xbox generations are remembered: GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. The company has not given much information about the compilation. Still, it has ensured that it will be available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch before the end of the year.

In this way, the authors of Red Dead Redemption 2 and LA Noire may also make a remaster (or remake) that, in recent weeks, has suffered all kinds of leaks. There is still information to be learned, but it is already known that the GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will have ” graphical improvements and a more modern gameplay for all three titles while maintaining the classic style and feel of the originals.”

In addition, Rockstar broadens its focus and confirms the arrival of GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for Android and iOS. However, this version will take a little longer to arrive and will be released sometime in the first half of 2022. Therefore, The studio is gearing up for the 20th anniversary of GTA 3 with a remastering of three of its most iconic games and other GTA Online updates.

However, and to start preparations, Rockstar has decided to eliminate GTA 3, GTA: San Andreas and GTA; Vice City from digital stores beginning next week, so GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will become the only way to return to these instalments as soon as their launch day arrives. Despite this, the developer studio proposes that we return to these adventures with improved graphics, which will adapt to the graphic quality of the moment.

This is nothing more than the confirmation of a well-known piece of news, since it had been initially listed in Korea and, since then, updates to the Rockstar launcher have revealed new details about the game, such as the use of the Unreal Engine. for your development or icons of your future achievements. Therefore, it is likely that we will have the remastering of three of the best games of the franchise in a few weeks on the most modern platforms—a perfect excuse to return to Liberty City, San Andreas or Vice City.
