Codemasters is Developing the “Most Ambitious and Largest Game of Its Last Decade”

Following EA’s buyout of the British, Codemasters: the authors of Dirt 5 and F1 2021 are working on a great AAA title.

Codemasters has been one of the great companies in the industry for many years, famous for its driving games. This year, the British company became part of Electronic Arts after an offer of 1.2 billion dollars, leaving Take 2 out of the picture. Two weeks after announcing the purchase intention.

At all times, Electronic Arts ensured that their intention was for Codemasters to maintain their freedom and identity, in the same way, they did with Respawn. With a giant like EA behind it, it appears the developers are preparing to make the “most ambitious and most significant game they have made in the last decade. ”

This has been described in a job offer for Development Manager that has been echoed by exputer. In the offer, the company s requested a producer to join the team on their new project. Although we do not have specific information about the latest game in development, a job posting specified that the company was finalizing post-launch content for Dirt 5, so they had already started work on their next Triple-A project.

The last Codemasters titles have enjoyed great success, with a great Dirt 5 that returned to the saga’s roots and boasted of having achieved vast numbers of players after its arrival on Xbox Game Pass. They also made the grade with F1 2021, with which Codemasters knew how to improve their formula with new game modes, and they are currently working on the latest instalment of the GRID franchise, GRID Legends.
