What?! Is God of War Coming to PC?! YES! And Now We Know When It’s Coming! [VIDEO]

God of War sold almost 20 million copies on PS4; how many copies will it sell on PC? SIE Santa Monica studio celebrates the figure by announcing the video game’s release on Steam and Epic Games Store. Yes, God of War 2018 is coming to PC!

First, let’s quickly get to the point: at the end of the game’s trailer, Sony revealed the PC release: specifically

The PC version of God of War will be released on January 14, 2022,

In other words, by the end of the second week of the new year, PC gamers will be able to join their son Kratos on his adventures in the far north.

Following the announcement of the PC release of God of War, SIE Santa Monica Studio confirmed that 19.5 million copies of the video game had been sold since its release in August 2018, making it one of the biggest exclusive hits of the PlayStation 4 generation.

No other statistics were released for the game, such as how many players have downloaded the adventure starring Kratos or how many hours PS4 users have spent with the spirit of Sparta and her son in the Nordic lands.

However, what is certain is that this figure will soon be minimised in the face of the flood of copies sold that is expected with the release of God of War on PC via the two leading retailers, Steam and Epic Games Store. In this sense, and as we reported a few minutes ago, the PlayStation team wanted to offer users of the platform an adventure at the top of the best PC development: 4K, unlocked frame rate, support for ultra-panoramic monitors, etc.

This comes just a few weeks after the first gameplay trailer for God of War: Ragnarok was unveiled, the direct sequel to the adventure that will see SIE Santa Monica Studio complete the protagonists’ experiences through the mythology of the Norse peoples.

God of War: Ragnarok will hit stores on PS5 and PS4, with no word yet on a PC landing, all the way through 2022. But in the meantime, you can read our review of God of War (2018) to decide whether you’ll join the game’s 19.5 million owners or be among the first to dive into the title when it comes to PC.
