Marvel’s Midnight Suns Is Delayed: Developers Say It Won’t Be Released Until The Second Half Of 2022

Marvel’s tactical RPG Midnight Suns is scheduled for March 2022, but superhero fans will have to wait.

At Gamescom 2021, we got a glimpse of a new Marvel-universe video game with some real promise: Firaxis Games and Marvel revealed a turn-based tactical RPG from the makers of XCOM. As the studio gave us more news, after the extensive gameplay video, we got to see some interesting details, such as the card-based tactical combat system.

But Marvel fans will have to wait to take control of their favourite superheroes, as the studio has announced an unexpected delay. Just when we’re still recovering from significant delays like Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2…

The game was scheduled for release in March 2022, but the developers have announced that they will push the release back to the second half of 2022.

This new release window is much broader than the planned release, so up to nine months of leeway will be good for the developers. In a statement, Firaxis Games thanked fans for their understanding. They explained the delay by saying that their goal is to make the best possible game to provide fans with unforgettable adventures.

The studio promised to use the extra months to expand the storyline, create more walkthrough animations, and polish the game. Midnight Suns is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
