The virtual tournament is about to begin: the PlayStation Tournaments in FIFA 22 are about to launch, with valuable rewards!

 

 

FIFA 22 has arrived. The new instalment of EA Sports’ classic football game has become a tradition for players to take part in virtual tournaments and championships. We know that the most avid fans of the football simulator have been eagerly awaiting the chance to start building their digital football careers in the new instalment. So, the FIFA 22 PS4 Open Series is underway: here’s your chance to win some great prizes, like a whole host of credits to your PS Store balance, or even a PS5 and a whole host of surprises, while you can also put your skills and talent to the test on the pitch.

The competition is open to anyone who wants to compete for prizes.
To enter, all you need to do is register via the link at the end of this article, as long as you are over 16, have an active PlayStation Plus account and live in one of the countries covered by the promotion. The qualifiers will start on 22 November, but if you don’t register in time, you can enter the later rounds, giving you a chance to qualify for the final and win additional prizes.

 

What will the Open Series tournaments be like?

What’s exciting about these tournaments is that they are open to everyone, so you don’t need to be a FIFA 22 pro to enter. With the right skills, you can be the one to make it to the final and take the prize from the veterans. If you think you’re one of the best, all you have to do is register and prove it!

How many matches do I need to win to qualify for the awards?

It’s not easy to qualify for the Open Championship: the competition is tough, and the prizes are valuable, but you can win big rewards with some skill and perseverance. Each day of the group stage, there will be a tournament where players choose a team, 6 tournaments per group, 48 tournaments in total. You may find yourself up against professional teams, so you’ll need to keep your wits about you if you want to compete in the challenging world of eSports!

What are the rewards of the Open Series?

The rewards increase depending on how far you progress in the tournament. You’ll be eligible for exclusive themes and avatars in the early rounds, but the top finishers in each tournament will earn a place in the 48-man final and €100 PS Store credits, with the runner-up receiving €50 PS Store credits.

The group finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals and tournament finals will offer the juiciest prizes, ranging from €50 PS Store credits to a PS5 and up to €1,000 PS Store credits. There will also be a grand final in May 2022, which will be streamed on PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels, where the top 8 players in the UCL tournament final will win €1,000 PS Store credits and a PS5.

When can you register for the Open Series?

You can register now for the PS4 Open Series, which starts on 22 November!
