[TGA] GTFO Surprise PC Release: Version 1.0 Debuts At The Game Awards 2021 Gala [VIDEO]

10 Chambers has already announced that they will replace the Early Access GTFO with a more sophisticated version.

GTFO‘s terrifying expeditions have impressed quite a few players, enough to make it one of the most challenging games out there today. However, just as some users won’t give up on the dangers the game offers, 10 Chambers is moving on with the idea after announcing the end of Early Access. The reason for this decision is none other than GTFO version 1.0, which was released on PC as a surprise during The Game Awards 2021.

The creators have polished the experience to the extreme, which has resulted in significant improvements and new gameplay mechanics such as character customisation, different save points during expeditions and bots to complement teams, among others. As for the graphics, 10 Chambers has not missed the opportunity to raise the quality of the animations and rendering system, making the immersion in the adventure even more extraordinary.

Indeed, this version of GTFO is not just for fans of the game, as the development studio aims to meet the expectations of new users: “If you played during Early Access, you’d notice the difference in quality and improvements in how the most challenging parts of the game have been made the most fun.”

“We’ve worked hard to welcome new players while keeping the challenge for our hardcore audience,” explains the game’s creative director Ulf Andersson.

But that’s not the end of the horror co-op story, as 10 Chambers has plenty more plans to expand the GTFO experience even further. After all, according to design director Hjalmar Vikström, “With the new version 1.0, we’re starting to see what this game has to offer. Our list of ideas for horror, puzzles and tools is huge, and I’m very excited about the next few years of GTFO”.

Of course, the goal of 10 Chambers hasn’t changed one iota, as they’ve been making significant updates to the game’s scary approach for some time now. And the community, while loving this kind of content, will face even greater challenges during expeditions, as 90% of missions end in “Game Over”…
