New Colours For DualSense, PlayStation 5 Console Covers Also Coming [VIDEO]

Sony Interactive Entertainment wants to give its new console colours himself (because until now, third-party solutions were used and shut down for such things, as Sony didn’t like them).

Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog that it will release official, new console covers in Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. The new DualSense wireless controller colours include Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. Maybe you can find the variety you want.

Here’s what the blog post reads: “The Midnight Black and Cosmic Red PlayStation 5 console covers will become available starting in January 2022 at participating retailers in the following locations: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines.

We plan to launch the PlayStation 5 console covers in additional territories during the year, and we’ll announce those details as they become available. The Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue PlayStation 5 console covers will also launch in these locations during the first half of 2022. The exact launch dates for both the new DualSense wireless controller colours and the new PlayStation 5 console covers in select regions may vary by location, so be sure to check your local retailer for availability,” the post says.

So Sony is now starting to give the PlayStation 5 some fresh colours, although the blue team needed some time to get into the subject. They could have provided all these items from early 2021, as a console cover is much easier to produce than a console. We’re curious to see when other regions, such as Central and Eastern Europe, will receive these products, as this territory seems to be ignored altogether.
