Alan Wake 2: Will The Voice Actors From The First Part Return?

After announcing the sequel to the iconic Alan Wake, the community was quick to question the developers…

Alan Wake has become an icon in video games thanks to its excellent combination of mystery and suspense – Remedy’s 2010 creation is one of the best ‘cocktails’ of its kind to date. Since then, many gamers have been eagerly awaiting the character’s return, and after the announcement of Alan Wake 2, thousands of questions have been asked.

Despite the avalanche of doubts, Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake wanted to ease the community’s heightened excitement by answering some of the most frequently asked questions. So much time has passed between the first game and the sequel that many fear a change in the face and voice of the character, played in 2010 by actors Ilkka Villi and Matthew Porretta.

Fortunately, Lake confirmed in a tweet that these professionals would return in Alan Wake 2.

But that wasn’t the end of the brief Q&A, as the creative director also wanted to answer an essential question for the community: will there be a third-person game?

It’s important to remember that some franchises have made a drastic shift to FPS gameplay, so it’s not unreasonable to think that the same will happen with the Alan Wake sequel. However, Lake nipped any such speculation in the bud when he confirmed that the game will still be third-person.

That’s the end of Remedy’s related news for now, as the creative director said he wanted to release “a couple of easy clarifications before we go dark to continue the work, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the developer’s official accounts for more details on Alan Wake 2.
