Here Is Metacritic’s List Of The Worst Reviewed Games Of 2021!

It’s time for the year-end round-up, and Metacritic’s review analysis site has published its usual round-up of the worst-rated games this year…

So let’s get this over with: according to Metacritic, EFootball 2022 tops the list of the worst-rated video games of 2021, which, let’s face it, was to be expected. However, there are some titles that, at least before their release, we would have found hard to believe we’d see here again, such as…

…Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition and Yuji Naka Balan’s Wonderworld.

The ‘remake’ of the GTA trilogy proved to be a rather humiliating fiasco for Rockstar Games, receiving scathing reviews from us, so we’re not surprised at all with our current knowledge that we see it in Metacritic’s line-up. Other titles, such as the Balan mentioned above or Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, have not fared well with critics or gamers.

I feel it as a personal loss that, adding up the multiplatform scores, Necromunda: Hired Gun made it to 12th place on the list. It started as a much more deserving project, but now everyone has to admit that only the biggest fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe can overcome the annoying flaws and gameplay shortcomings.

Metacritic’s list of the ten worst-rated games of 2021 (courtesy of Video Games Chronicle) is below. (Multiplatform game scores are averages across all platforms.)

  1. EFootball 2022 (Multi) – 25
  2. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood (PS4) – 42
  3. Balan Wonderworld (Multi) – 44
  4. Of Bird and Cage (PC) – 44
  5. Demon Skin (PC) – 48
  6. PixelJunk Raiders (Stadia) – 49
  7. The Unexpected Quest (Multi) – 49
  8. Taxi Chaos (Multi) – 51
  9. Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed (Multi) – 52
  10. Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace (Multi) – 53
  11. GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition (Multi) – 53
  12. Necromunda: Hired Gun (Multi) – 55
