Playstation Studios game rumoured to be similar to Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell

A rumour has started to spread about a new game in development at PlayStation Studios. Famous PlayStation leaker Tidux claims that PlayStation Studios is working on an “exclusive open world stealth action game” that will be similar in style to Metal Gear Solid V and Splinter Cell.

When will the PlayStation Studios game be revealed?

The rumour has been corroborated by business analyst Roberto Serrano, who predicts that the reveal will take place this year, perhaps at one of PlayStation’s big events such as a State of the Art or even PlayStation Experience. Admittedly, Serrano is pretty random with his insider predictions, but a PlayStation event would be the most suitable one for the reveal of a PlayStation exclusive game. A State of Play show is rumoured to take place in early February, but Tidux predicts that it will only be to show Horizon Forbidden West before its release on February 18.

No further details will be revealed by Tidux until the game is revealed as “I don’t want to spoil the reveal”. So far he has described the title as an “exclusive open world stealth action game” where “MGS 5 meets Splinter Cell and you can approach the mission as you wish, guns blazing or never seen”. Tidux is a little more reliable with its inside information, having predicted the first gameplay reveal of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, among other things. As always, though, take rumours with a pinch of salt.

In other news, don’t forget that today is the first day you can claim the three free PlayStation Plus games for January 2022. You have until January 31 to do so. Mass Effect Legendary Edition will also be added to EA Play later this week and there are new rewards to claim throughout January.
