Tom Holland Tells How He Discovered Uncharted While Filming The First Spider-Man Movie

MOVIE NEWS – Popular actor Tom Holland will play Nathan Drake in the film adaptation of the Naughty Dog franchise.

 

 

Tom Holland is one of today’s hottest actors, thanks to his role as Peter Parker in the new Spider-Man films in the Marvel Universe. In the recently released Spider-Man: No Way Home has already been ‘turned’ in a video game for Insomniac Games, with exclusive costumes based on the film, and Holland’s fans are already gearing up for the release of the big-screen adaptation of Uncharted.

Appearing at Sony’s CES 2022 press conference, the actor explained how he first became involved with the Naughty Dog franchise. As reported by Kotaku, the actor confessed that he wasn’t familiar with the franchise’s games until filming began on Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Holland explained that one of the benefits of working for Sony was the connection with PlayStation, so the actors’ lounges were equipped with the latest TVs and PlayStation. Among the games the actor received was Uncharted. Holland also shared that he spent his free time during filming with his best friend on Naughty Dog adventures.

“As soon as we started we couldn’t stop. I remember them trying to drag me out of my trailer, I was like ‘No no no, we’re about to complete this mission,'” joked Holland. His love for the series made it much easier for him to settle into the role of young Nathan Drake. At Sony’s CES 2022 conference, the full footage of the famous vertigo-inducing cargo plane scene was also shown, which we’ve seen snippets of in previous trailers.
