Xbox Could Get Exclusive Monster Hunter-style Game

Certain Affinity, a studio that has supported Halo and Call of Duty developments, is reportedly behind the new Xbox project

There are many unknowns and theories surrounding the possibility of Xbox receiving more exclusives in the future. These whispers have been fuelled by Microsoft’s purchase of Activision Blizzard, which has led us to dream of some IPs we might see again. Now, Windows Central revives the topic again with a rumour derived from its own sources.

While the first person to talk about it was Jeff Grubb, Windows Central claims to have been able to corroborate the story through sources other than the well-known leaker. According to his article, Certain Affinity, known for supporting the development of some Halo and Call of Duty titles, is behind the rumoured title, which is said to feature a Monster Hunter-style adventure for Xbox.

Codenamed ‘Luck’, the game has been in development since the summer of 2020 and could be announced in 2023 with a release window set for 2024, according to the media outlet. Windows Central adds that these dates could change depending on the dynamism and variables that continually happen in the field of video game development. In addition to this, the website also claims to have heard rumours of a new game mode for Halo Infinite developed by Certain Affinity, although there are no known features behind this project.

As we usually remember with this kind of news, we should treat all this information with caution, as nothing is certain until official announcements are made by developers or publishers. Until then, we can continue to think about the possible situations that we will experience after the purchase of Activision Blizzard mentioned at the beginning of this text, although it is time for other companies to take a decisive step forward.
