MOVIE NEWS – Nolan North says Tom Holland is perfect for the role of Nathan Drake and hopes the actor will continue to play a role in even more films.

 

One Nathan Drake to the other, Nolan North, can only say good words about Uncharted star Tom Holland. In the original video game series, North provided the sync sound and motion capture of Nathan Drake’s character, making him synonymous with Uncharted forever in the minds of gamers. Many even hoped North would be the one to play Drake in the live-action movie Uncharted. WARNING: Smaller spoilers are coming from Uncharted.

Talking to Variety about the film, North disagreed that some players should have played Drake in the new movie. Eventually, Holland got the role, and the film presents Spider-Man star as a younger version of Drake. It was a perfect decision for North.

North has a cameo in the film, briefly meeting Dutch Drake shortly after the big airplane scene featured in the trailers. The familiar video game music even starts to sound when North pops up, further betraying the players to the cameo. North was glad his role in the film was short and kind, as he didn’t want to distract viewers from experience. He also praised how much he enjoyed working with the Netherlands.
