The first trailer of Tekken Bloodline, Netflix’s new anime series, is out [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – After the success of Arcane, Netflix chose Tekken Bloodline as its next video game adaptation.

The Tekken video game franchise made its appearance in arcades in 1994, later adapted to the original PlayStation, becoming one of the most iconic fighting game franchises, with seven main instalments and numerous spin-offs. Tekken would experience its revolution with Tekken 3, becoming a mass phenomenon and one of the most beloved fighting games in history.

Here is the first trailer of the adaptation:

The fighting game adaptation will arrive this year. One of the aspects that made Tekken successful and outstanding amongst other fighting games is its story. The story is told between blows, with characters full of charisma and an emphasis on family ties. The Tekken franchise had already an animated motion picture adaptation in the nineties; however, it’s Netflix that took up the material this time and decided to give a second anime adaptation to the fans.

We could see some of the main characters already in the first trailer, such as the main characters Jin Kazama and his master Heihachi Mishima. Besides that, other iconic characters from the franchise were also featured, such as Paul Phoenix, King, Ogre and Kazuya.

Netflix already had great success regarding video game adaptations with the Arcane, the series that adapts the League of Legends universe and recently swept the prestigious Annie Awards. Among its most popular adaptations, we have the series about Konami’s veteran vampire saga, Castlevania. We recently received The Cuphead Show as well, a series based on the challenging action-shooter game that has managed to capture all the essence of the universe created by Studio MDHR.

There is no official release date for Tekken Bloodline yet; however, Netflix revealed through the first trailer and the first official poster that the adaptation will air sometime this year.
