Filming The Second Season Of The Halo Series For Paramount+ Begins Soon

MOVIE NEWS – The actor who brought Master Chief to life confirmed this just days before the premiere of the first season of the Halo series.

The Halo TV series will premiere on Paramount+ on March 24 this year, bringing one of the most iconic IPs from the world of video games to the small screen. Confidence in the project is at an all-time high, as is the fact that a second season has already been greenlit. We now know that filming will start very soon, this summer, thanks to the good weather.

“We’ll be filming again this summer.”

“We’re still figuring out exactly what the start date is, but we will be in production by summertime because we have a hard date that we need to be up and running in order to get some location that is weather affected,” said Pablo Shreiber, who plays Master Chief, in an interview with Collider. So we can expect a reasonably sunny environment for the second batch of episodes, which could be ready by the end of 2023 if production goes well, although no more has been said about that yet.

However, while its future is now guaranteed, Halo still has to win over audiences with the premiere of its US streaming service first. Critics seem to have been won over, with an average rating of 62%. For comparison, The Witcher’s MetaScore on Netflix currently stands at the same 62%.

Over the weekend, it was also revealed that Halo would have a budget of $90 million, which is close to the $100 million budget of the first season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and in line with other products on the platform, such as Star Trek: Discovery.
