Kiefer Sutherland Is Soon To Be Back On The Screen With A Hit!

MOVIE NEWS – Filming has begun on a brand new Paramount+ series starring Kiefer Sutherland as the master of deception accused of murder…

Kiefer Sutherland, best known for his role as the indestructible anti-terrorist agent Jack Bauer in the action-drama series 24, has officially started filming his new action series Rabbit Hole. The eight-episode series from CBS Studios is now well underway, with filming taking place in Toronto, Canada. The son of actor Donald Sutherland, acting and the world around it is clearly in Kiefer’s blood.

The series will premiere sometime in 2022 on Paramount+.

In addition to playing the lead role in the series, Sutherland will also serve as executive producer with writer-directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (This Is Us, WeCrashed). The other executive producers include Sutherland’s former producer Suzan Bymel, with whom he worked on Designated Survivor. The series will premiere sometime in 2022 on Paramount+ in the US and internationally in Australia, Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy, Austria, France and Switzerland.

Rabbit Hole’s dynamic cast will include Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Dr. Ben Wilson, Meta Golding (Empire) as Hailey Winton, Enid Graham (are of Easttown) as Josephine “Jo” Madi, Jason Butler Harner (Ozark) as Valence, Rob Yang (Succession) as Edward Homm and Walt Klink (Arctic Circle) as “The Intern”.

The series is set in the world of corporate espionage.

John Weir (Sutherland) is a private investigator and master of deception, accused of murder by those in power who have an extraordinary ability to manipulate behaviour, employ state surveillance and influence the public through misinformation. Weir soon finds himself in a battle for democracy as he goes up against the forces that control the world…

Sutherland has recently expressed interest in a revival of 24: he confessed that he misses the portrayal of Jack Bauer and feels that his character’s story is unfinished. But he does not have high hopes for the project. There have been starts and stops before. There has also been constant talk, or at least hints, that Sutherland will return in the neo-noir sci-fi thriller Dark City reboot. In the meantime, audiences will have to wait and see if John Weir’s fight to the death will be able to replicate Jack Bauer’s success.
