Expect Huge Returns & Showdowns In The Marvel Echo Series!

MOVIE NEWS – Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are set to return as Daredevil and Kingpin in the MCU’s upcoming Disney+ series Echo.

Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio have officially joined the cast of the Disney+ series Echo. It’s unclear at this time in what capacity the pair will appear in the series or if they will even have any scenes together, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, both Cox and D’Onofrio will have critical roles in Echo. Marvel declined to comment on the news.

The series is currently filming in Atlanta and stars Hawkeye breakout star Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo, a deaf Native American superhero who can mimic the fighting style of her opponents. Wilson Fisk/Kingpin raised her as his daughter after her father’s death, but the Hawkeye finale delivered a shocking twist that left Fisk’s fate in limbo.

Marvel, however, has not let a phenomenal actor like Vincent D’Onofrio go to waste, and he has been teased for months to return.

As for Charlie Cox, he is Spider-Man: He made his MCU debut in No Way Home and immediately stole the show; we also know he’ll be back in the upcoming Daredevil reboot/sequel on Disney+.

Fans eagerly anticipate another showdown between the fearless vigilante and his arch-nemesis Kingpin, and it looks like it’s happening sooner than we thought. What’s more, if the rumours are to be believed, Daredevil and Kingpin won’t be the only characters to reappear in the MCU.

Rumours have it that Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, will also join Echo, and Matt Murdock is looking for her.

However, this news should be taken with a grain of salt, as it sounds too good to be true, although Marvel does come up with some big surprises with each new series or film.

Echo was created by Marion Dayre (Better Call Saul) and directed by Sydney Freeland and Catriona McKenzie. Zahn McClarnon, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning and Graham Greene also star in the series.

The series has no release date yet but will premiere on Disney+ in 2023.
