Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed: PC System Requirements; Ray Tracing Confirmed [VIDEO]

IllFonic (Friday the 13th: The Game, Predator: Hunting Grounds, Arcadegeddon) has released the details on how strong of a rig you need for the 4v1 asymmetric ghostbusting.

The studio has made the system requirements available on the game’s Epic Games Store page:

Minimum system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 (x64; this is not mentioned, nor is the version number)
  • Processor: minimum four-thread Intel or AMD CPU with a minimum clock speed of 2.3GHz, or better
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970, or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Free storage: 15 GB

Recommended system requirements:

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (x64; no version number disclosed)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-5820K or AMD equivalent. or better
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (without ray tracing, or RT for short) or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (with RT) or better (no AMD equivalent has been specified)
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Free space: 15 GB

Supported languages:

  • Audio: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish – Spain, Russian, Chinese – Traditional, Portuguese – Brazil
  • Text: English, French, Chinese – Traditional, Italian, German, Spanish – Spain, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese – Brazil

With pre-order bonuses, you get early access to Slimer, some equipment and gadgets, and cosmetic items. There’s a collector’s edition that’s 30 dollars more expensive (70 instead of 40 dollars), but the contents of that are not known. Following the trends, it could contain the Season Pass, although in that case, it might be better called a Deluxe Edition…

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, which supports cross-play, will be released on October 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (as an Epic Games Store exclusive), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about how IllFonic will support ray tracing yet, as the studio hasn’t provided any details on that either. It’s probably nothing significant if an RTX 2070 is listed as the recommended GPU.
