SEGA has announced the last part of the Japanese list and even listed the North American game offerings.

 

We want to add that we’ve done some research on the European list. Still, for example, IGN has posted one of the videos embedded below on YouTube as “Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 and Sega Genesis Mini 2 – Official Full Game List Trailer”, so the Western game list will not vary by region. The final titles on the Japanese list are Atomic Runner, Crusader of Centy, Devi & Pii, Granada, Honoo no Toukyuuji Dodge Danpei, Midnight Resistance, Party Quiz MEGA Q 2022, Party Quiz SEGA Q (these two will be Japan-only!), Ranger X, Space Harrier II, Star Cruiser, Super Locomotive, VS Puyo Puyo Sun the cassette list, and the three SEGA CD titles Captain Tsubasa, Night Trap, Silky Lip.

But for us, it’s the Western game offerings that matter. Let’s see this list: After Burner II, Alien Soldier, Atomic Runner, Bonanza Bros., ClayFighter, Crusader of Centy, Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf, Earthworm Jim 2, Elemental Master, Fatal Fury 2, Gain Ground, Golden Axe II, Granada, Hellfire, Herzog Zwei, Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar, Midnight Resistance, The Ooze, OutRun, OutRunners, Phantasy Star II, Populous, Rainbow Islands, Rainbow Islands: Extra, Ranger-X, The Revenge of Shinobi, Ristar, Rolling Thunder 2, Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi, Shining Force II, Shining in the Darkness, Sonic 3D Blast, Splatterhouse 2, Streets of Rage 3, Super Hang-On, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, Truxton, VectorMan 2, Viewpoint, Virtua Racing, Warsong – these are the cartridge titles.

The SEGA/Mega CD games are Ecco the Dolphin, Ecco: The Tides of Time, Final Fight CD, Mansion of Hidden Souls, Night Striker, The Ninja Warriors, Night Trap, Robo Aleste, Sewer Shark, Shining Force CD, Silpheed, Sonic The Hedgehog CD. There will also be seven (eight) bonus games: Devi & Pii (Takashi Iizuka’s game before joining the Sonic 3 team) and Star Mobile are the two unreleased games, while Fantasy Zone, Space Harrier II (+Space Harrier), Spatter, Super Locomotive and VS Puyo Puyo Sun will be new ports.

SEGA has confirmed on Twitter that Europeans will also get the mini console on the same day as the other two regions. A spokesperson for the company told Polygon that the North American region will receive a tenth as many consoles as the 2019 SEGA Genesis Mini due to a chip/semiconductor shortage. Initially, they planned with only Japan, but “by using Amazon’s ‘Japan Store’ system, we found that at least a small number of units could be sold via Amazon.com, so a portion was allocated to make the North American version.” The price is $100 there, so it will be €100 here. That’s if we can find any.
