[TGS 2022] Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty: A Look Into The Character Creator, Here’s A Demo! [VIDEO]

In an interview with Team Ninja, we also get to see some new moves from the fast-paced and bloody combat (we’d expect nothing less from the developers of the Ninja Gaiden reboot and Nioh…).

For those with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series, head over to the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will only be available until September 26. You will also receive an online questionnaire, which Team Ninja has always done: the Japanese studio took feedback into account when developing Nioh. The demo’s contents may differ from the “store” edition. No PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription is required!

At the time of the announcement in June, we wrote: “Masaaki Yamagiwa was the producer of Bloodborne (now development producer), and Fumihiko Yasuda was the producer of Nioh (now producer). Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows the dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty, where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.

It’s madness in the Three Kingdoms like never before! A dark fantasy set during the chaotic Three Kingdoms period, the narrative vividly tells the tale of a militia soldier’s brutal fight for survival during a Later Han Dynasty infested with demons. Defeat deadly enemies to boost morale and awaken the power from within! Overcome adversity through unique new strategies, including battle styles based on the “Five Phases.”

Renowned for ruthless strikes that can instantly change the tide of battle, sword practitioners of the Chinese martial arts gracefully change pace as they shift between offensive and defensive manoeuvres. Overwhelm opponents with a flurry of force in a series of intense and bloody battles while learning the precision and skill necessary to become a true master of the sword.”

The second video is the interview footage (in which Yasuda and Yamagiwa talk); Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty: Three Kingdoms is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in early 2023. The (Xbox) Game Pass subscribers will be happy to know that Team Ninja’s product will also be included in Microsoft’s monthly subscription service.
