Could Kassandra From Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Have Been Copied For A GOTG-Game Character?!

The actress who plays Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has revealed a funny detail about her character and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Lady Hellbender.

Although Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a divisive title in the franchise’s history, one character who remains super popular is the canonical protagonist, Kassandra, played by Melissanthi Mahut. The actress is also known for her many TV roles, but in Assassin’s Creed audiences, they immediately associate her with Kassandra.

Mahut is quite involved with the Assassin’s Creed community and recently pointed out something about Lady Hellbender.

She admits she’s late to the party, but if an AC fan hasn’t played Eidos Montreal’s Guardians of the Galaxy, his tweet may have informed them of this exciting coincidence.

She succinctly points out that Lady Hellbender looks exactly like Kassandra. The community was also happy to see that he made the connection, and he went on to say that many in the AC community called Lady Hellbender “blue Kassandra” upon her release. A little creepy, but really, the only real difference is the exact shade of hair and the obvious blue skin. If Lady Hellbender’s hair were dyed, she would be a Kassandra in space to fans.

Strangely, however, this isn’t the first time an NPC has looked like Kassandra.

When Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released, many quickly commented on how much Randvi looked like Kassandra. At one point, there were theories that they were the same. As many people know, Kassandra manages to live for millennia thanks to the Staff of Hermes, which she passes on to Layla at the end of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The similarity between the two has even been made into a joke by Ubisoft. After all, when Kassandra appears in Valhalla (in crossover form), Eivor finds her because he is looking for Randvi. The two have the same description, actually.

Of course, it’s unlikely that Lady Hellbender has anything to do with it, but it’s a bit spooky that fans see the immortal Kassandra everywhere, including in other titles…
