PS Plus Extra: Ten PS4 Games To Be Removed From The Service In January?!

We’ve only got a few weeks left to try out these PS4 titles as part of PS Plus Extra.

True Trophies has taken the trouble to scour PlayStation Store to find the PS Plus Extra and Premium games that will soon be leaving PlayStation’s paid-for service. The list they’ve come up with includes some pretty surprising titles.

These departure dates are taken from PlayStation Store, so they’re official. There are currently ten games that will leave PS Plus Extra and Premium on 17 January 2023.

You can check out each of the ten games in the list below; expect to say goodbye to shining gems such as The Council, Bound in Flame and Space Hulk Tactics, to name a few.

If you’ve been eyeing the trophy lists, now’s the time to try and scroll through some of these titles and get your hands on some juicy platinum trophies before they leave the service. Remember, these games can’t be added to your library, so you’ll lose access to them come January.

All games leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium:

  • Bound by Flame
  • Electronic Super Joy
  • Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek
  • Leo’s Fortune
  • Masters of Anima
  • Seasons After Fall
  • Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom
  • Space Hulk: Tactics
  • The Council
  • The Last Tinker: City of Colors

Quite a few games are saying goodbye early next year. Quite a few of them have easily obtainable platinum trophies. These include Enigmatis, Seasons After Fall and The Council. It might be worth focusing on these first. Several games, such as The Last Tinker and Electronic Super Joy, do not have platinum trophies, so unless you’re a big fan, you can skip these. The other platinum trophies seem a bit more time-consuming and harder to get in the short time available. It might be better to avoid them unless you are really attracted to the game itself.

In recent months there have been some high-profile departures from PS Plus Extra, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and a backend shuffle that saw Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana temporarily removed from the service.

The latest list of PS4 games removed from PS Plus Extra may not include any big names. But it’s worth quickly adding any of the titles listed to the top of your backlog if you’re thinking of playing them through your membership.
