The Last Of Us Part I: Firefly Edition Finally Becomes Available In Europe!

No, we’re not wrong about the time, and we didn’t publish this post three and a half months later!

The Last oF Us Part I is a game that can be said to be redundant, as Naughty Dog released the original for PlayStation 3 in 2013, and just over a year later, in July 2014, the PlayStation 4 remastered version was released (which included the Left Behind DLC). So the game was already on Sony’s previous two consoles, making it a mystery why they had to update Ellie and Joel’s story (again).

We’ve previously reported that the limited edition Firefly Edition of The Last of Us Part I, which sold out at an unimaginable rate both times, reached many US players in a damaged state. At the time, we didn’t know if Sony Interactive Entertainment would release the pack in Europe. It’s a bit strange that three months after the game’s release (!?), the announcement came that the package would be available in Europe, albeit via PlayStation Direct.

The Last of Us Part I Firefly Edition costs £100, or €110. Along with the game, you get a limited steelbook case and the first four issues of The Last of Us: American Dreams comic with new covers. The in-game items: increased crafting speed skill, increased healing speed skill, 9mm reload speed increase upgrade, rifle clip capacity increase upgrade, explosive arrows gameplay modifier, dither punk filter, Speedrun mode, and six weapon skins (Black Gold 9mm Pistol, Silver Filigree 9mm Pistol, Rubber Tactical Shotgun, Sculpted Oak Shotgun, Arctic White Bow, Carbon Black Bow).

The Last of Us Part I Firefly Edition will be available in Europe from January 26; the PC port of the game will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store on March 3, while the TV adaptation will be available on HBO Max from January 15.
